FIFA has given a warning to defender Domajgo Vida for his behaviour after the match with Russia, but Croatia's defender is free to play against England in the semifinals of the World Cup.

The Croatian guard was investigated by the world's ruling football body on comments he made in a video on social media after winning Croatia's quarterfinals over Russia.

Going out with former Croatian player Ognjen Vukojevic, with whom he played in Dinamo Kiev, Vida is seen saying: “Glory to Ukraine”

The phrase was used by Ukrainian anti-Russian nationalists, with Vukojevic, who adds: This victory is for Dynamo and Ukraine”

FIFA's disciplinary code prohibits political slogans of any form and anyone who provokes during a match will be punished by two matches.

It says in a FIFA statement.

This isn't going to go down well with Russia fans. After ♪ RUSCRO, Ognjen Vukojevic and Domaj Vida cellete with a “Slava Ukrayini” video message and dedicate the Victoria to Ukraine. Pic.twitter. com/ Whoa PKTbFVJ
