Veselin says Eurodeputs support abolishing visas for Kosovo

Wessel held separate meetings in the European Parliament with European Parliament Vice President Rainer Wieland, with AFET leader simultaneously Rapporteur for Serbia David McAllister, Delegation for BiH and Kosovo leader Tonino Picula, leader of the Social Democratic Group (S&D) in the European Parliament, Udo Bullmann.
These meetings discussed the processes Kosovo is going through on the road towards European integration, with the focus of institutions' commitments in the visa liberalisation process.
Later, Kosovo's top parliamentman has also held meetings with Euro-Deputes Andrey Kovatchev, Asim Ademiov and with Angel Dzambachi, Kosovo reports.
Wessel recognised the Eurodeputs with Kosovo's achievements in many areas and institutional commitment to further the Euro-Atlantic perspective.
Even at this meeting, the first of the Assembly stressed that the people of Kosovo expect free movement in the Schengen Zone to be allowed within the year.
Members of the European Parliament, in turn, expressed satisfaction with progress in Kosovo and thanked Chief Parliamentary Veselin for visiting Strasbourg, as well as for presenting progress Kosovo has noted on the path to European reforms, with particular emphasis on meeting all criteria for visa liberalisation.
