World football fans demonstrated an incredible Acropolis ability, spending several hours building a tower of four metres of empty glasses in one of the World Cup fan areas in the town of Kazan.

Building a tower of plastic beer cups began as a fun way for them to enjoy Brazil's inaugural match against Switzerland, which was played in Rostov Arena, writes RT, broadcast Periscope.

For five hours fans managed to build a tower of four feet [4 m], using about 300 plastic glasses.

As the players warmed up for the start, Australians in Kazan ' decided to drink, which soon became a magnificent architectural challenge. After a drink fell, an Australian fan would collect an empty beer cup at the top of others.

Within minutes, the small tower began to climb, with the help of Venezuelan and Brazilian fans who joined. The Russians were also not afraid to give a helping hand and an empty glass. The structure slowly began to fly over the heads of thousands of spectators watching the match on a massive screen.

As the tower reached huge proportions, the builders had to perform some incredible aerobatic skills, climbing to the shoulders of other fans, who then helped the challengers to stand on their feet as they arrived to play.

Not everyone could do that. Some tried and failed, taking a piece of the tower down with them. Slowly but certainly, plastic construction reached an epic size./Periscopi/
