Serbia is continuing to lobbie Kosovo's division into the final stage of dialogue between these two states
There are even some deputies in the friendly states of Kosovo who are already supporting this idea.
But despite changing the positions of certain MPs, Kosovo's friendly states continue to oppose the idea of partition, saying it would create potential for destabilising effects in the region and beyond.
U.S. Embassy in Pristina through an answer to the newspaper “Sound” has welcomed the start of the final phase of dialogue, saying it is essential that Kosovo joins to prepare for this important step to ensure its future prosperity, as well as stability and economic growth.
This Embassy further estimates that both sides must commit to finding a solution that paves the way for membership in the European Union.
“Piles should seek a solution, which can accept both sides and pave the path towards the EU for both states”, says the US Embassy's response.
