The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has announced contests for publishing books of several pre-university education levels. Among them is also the presumption for which there has been no school book so far. For this level, according to the competition, seven are submitted, and this has prompted the Council for Teaching Texts and Experts' responses today, Koha Ditore writes.
Majlinda Gitija-Gylaj, professor of pre-school education at the Education School after watching the competition, not only has it expressed itself against this practice but also resigned from the Council for Teaching Texts.
“I was a member of the Council for Teaching Texts, but as you know, we haven't voted 7 volumes for the age of five, because I wouldn't do it in any way, since it's contrary to my professionalism for pre-school education, it's contrary to all principles and education theories in early childhood and contrary to the preparation of the tutors we do at the University<1>, Gitja-Gelaj said.
