The possible assassins of former SDP Freedom Oliver Ivanovic may be operating in northern Mitrovica, and they belong to Serbian nationalism. That's what they say by the Special Prosecutor of Kosovo.
The latter are dismissing any possibility Ivanovic's killers may be Albanians. That's what Special Prosecutor Silas Hoxha said on Tuesday. He says he's working out the intensity of this case.
We're still at the collection of evidence. We still don't have any suspects in this case. At this moment we can say that all evidence thus far amounts to that the late Ivanovic was killed by organised criminal groups, not Albanians. We can say that the same one, even during last year's election campaign, had threats, had his car burned, and so on,”, has declared the prosecutor, who is investigating the case.
Hoxha says convinced that Ivanovic's potential killers may have lived in northern Mitrovica. About this case, he even says, they have questioned a considerable number of witnesses.
We're working on this direction intensively. We're questioning witnesses. But we have to stress that witnesses are afraid to market even things they know. The main killer may have fled northern Mitrovica, but their group can certainly still be in northern Mitrovica.
But special prosecutor, Silas Hoxha, is claiming witnesses are afraid to provide details about this case.
“Witnesses are afraid to show from the structures that are in the north”, Hoxha says away. But he is convinced that I will not give up this case.
I can't connect to terms of time. But I will not give up this case. The prosecutor's I hope in this case that despite the fact that witnesses are not declaring much of the case, but in the end I believe that evidence will be collected”, he says.
We remember that Oliver Ivanovic was killed in January this year before his political party's office located north of Mitrovica. He, two days before he was killed, had stated in an interview that he feels threatened by Serbs.
Media in Serbia have reported that a few days before Ivanoviqi was killed, he had sent a telephone message to President Vuciq, who had received no answer. Speculations about his murder, but his motives have been many. /express/
