The prime minister's Agency for Gender Equality/Office, through a media statement, has condemned the kidnapping of a female in Pristina, on the part of two people, on the 18th of this month.
The two suspected persons were arrested, and were later released by order of the State Prosecutor.
“The randomly posted case in the media by random witnesses testifies to an inadequate security level, where any girl or woman can face such a danger on the streets of the capital. This is an act that must be condemned by society and the institutions, until the State Prosecutor's Office requires clarification regarding the case and the statement about the release of kidnappers. Such acts are unacceptable to our society and as such cause citizens' uncertainty, and in particular in women and girls, and unless you offer additional information about the dawning of the case, will cause distrust and fear for the safety of women and girls, and harm the image of police as an organ in which the citizens of RKS have confidence to prove”, Kosova Prees says in response.
The ABR estimates that without interfering with prosecutorial competencies for whitewashing the case, the citizens of the RKS deserve clarification for putting justice in the country in question.
Also, this agency has demanded that such cases become white as soon as possible, until they have requested increased attention from relevant security institutions to raise the level of security at the country level, such cases are not repeated and severely punished by law.
