Ziti recalls that after echoing the eagle's gesture in celebrating goals in the Swiss match Serbia, and measures expected to be taken by FIFA against Albanian players Granit Jaka and Gerdan Shaqiri, Pope Francescu also made such a move, but that there was no negative comment then on the handmade eagle.
