I am usually happy when the Kosovars mark. . . Just tonight, at least”, O'Connell wrote, following the defeat the team of England suffered, because of the single goal of the match, marked by Januzaj.
Januzaj, who had claimed to be born in Belgium and feels Belgian, despite his background from Kosovo, was declared the best player in the match.
In fact, this match was highly controversial, as neither of the teams wanted the victory, as the winner would face Brazil.
Yanuzaj's goal placed Belgium first in Group G, leaving England in second place. So both teams qualified for the next phase.
