FIFA's official Facebook page has dedicated the last post to Swiss football player of Albanian origin Gerdan Shaqiri, writes Periscopi.
Shaqiri had made history four years ago, marking three goals against Honduras who was the 50th hat-trick in this grand sports event.
The FIFA page reads: “on this day [with June 25th] of 2014, Gerdan Shaqiri scored three goals against Honduras. It was the 50th hat-trick in World Cup history”.
FIFA has officially initiated an investigation into the gesture Shaqiri made, making the eagle hand in the direction of Serbian fanship, which from the Serbian side was considered provocation. Such an investigation, FIFA has also started with Arsenal midfielder Granit Jaka. /Periscopi
