Tabi, the war refugee was thrilled yesterday when he saw two Albanians celebrate with an eagle victory with Serbia.
He is a 23-year-old Syrian father and a Moroccan mother, who has been living in Tirana for eight months, at the host national asylum seekers' centre in Babrru. He's done nursing, but he says his real dream is football.
“I know all Albanian teams, such as Partizan and Tirana, but I want to be given a chance, to help somebody, any manager to be proven, except in Morocco I played Turkey with Basaxehir, soccer is my life and my dream”, he says.
Top Channel: Would you like to play with Albanian nationals?
Tab: Of course, I'm a typical midfield center, I'm very technical, it can serve very well.
In the asylum seekers centre, there are also citizens of other nationalities from third countries.
I've been from Syria for 5 days since Kapshtica, I want to stay here in Albania”, says an immigrant.
I'm from Iraq, but I want to go to Germany, the road has so far cost me 2,500 US$”, has declared another.
“Vi from Yemen, I've heard it's well lived here”, says another.
