As in previous years, the mandate approved by Bundestag includes a maximum 950-strong border to assist in the EU mission, which is incumbent on saving immigrants and training Libyan sailors in the fight against smugglers, the ATSH writes.
Currently, only 100 German soldiers present on this mission to the EU in the Mediterranean are counted.
