His adviser, Lulzim Rafuna, has said his chief, along with his advisers, has refused to receive the growing salary for which Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj decided.
Asked whether the ministry has legal strength to prevent the government's salary increase, Rafuna has said this cannot be done after the Constitutional Court's decision, Koha reports.
At the government's meeting held last week, considering the Constitutional stance on salary growth, Finance Minister Hamza did not vote on the decision to raise salaries with the suggestion that the adoption of the Law on Salaries, in support of which the rise of wages of senior officials, be harmonised.
The Constitutional Court has said the decision to raise wages does not conflict with the Constitution.
The government on December 20th in 2017 had decided on salary increases for the prime minister, deputy prime ministers, ministers and the rest of the government cabinet. Haradinaj, up from 1443 euros, was doubled to 2950 euros.
At the time, Haradinaj argued not only on why he was smaller than the leaders of some independent agencies but also on the need to buy ties.
