In today's intervention to Prime Minister Haradinaj, among many others, Albin Kurti and Adem Mikulovci . We're emphasising on these two, since the latter is a professional actor and the other is a politician. But, both, instead of dealing with politics [because even Miculovci for this job has been chosen], they are doing pathetic acting that suits the Haradinaj government, the “Pronto” still in power, and anyone else who seeks to maintain the economic-Social situation as it is.
Albin Kurti, wanting to make it even more creative and important, his party's criticism of the government, said the “power has no real interest in Kosovo joining the European Union.” For God's sake? He forgot that better reports with top EU officials have politicians in power than his party. He also forgot that now a decade ago, he has marginalised the economic programme in favour of the nationalist programme, which requires the National Union referendum, where Kosovo's status as an independent state is shaken by the red-e-si flag. He forgot that his Movement, in co-operation with the AAK and the Initiative, which proved to be nothing better than the PDK, threw tear gas into the Assembly, unable to ratify the demarcation which was thus ratified and received sharp criticism from the EU representative in Kosovo, and other senior officials. He also forgot neocolonialism as criticism of the EU.
If the ruling politicians, in co-ordination with various businessmen, have done monopolises in the market, captured justice, employed party militants in public institutions, in a word, usurped the public as a whole, then the Vetevendosje Movement monopolised the word against power, usurped the space for protest and civic revolt, precisely interpreting a certain seriousness that is currently becoming significantly waned.
A few days ago, the wiretapping of two members of the Vetevendosje Movement, who in the style of the Antipher Proto characters, were making the manipulation of a public competition. It has to be said that the extent of the damage that can determine the imagination of this scandal can be much smaller than those from the Afera Proto, because the size of Vetevendosje's institutional power is smaller but we're still talking about a party that has used a religious morality rhetoric, building an extremely clean image of itself.
Vetevendosje is not interested in taking power in Kosovo. Neither yesterday nor tomorrow. She is interested in remaining in the opposition, and to continue her opposition performance in the endless past by making long-standing reigns of her leader, Albin Kurti. This party seems very interested in the parties that were in power to continue retaining power, especially under current circumstances, only not being tarnished with any possible scandal. This power that this party enjoys seems to bear much more, even though the country's citizens have expressed more than in one election the need for change.
When Kosovo citizens bought the seriousness of Vetevendosje's opposition, they made the party the largest in the country. But Vetevendosje has rifts in its discurs, and is allowing it to reform ideologically just like other parties. Here we should mention brutal attacks on those who resign from this party, then protection of the canon and legitimacy of domestic violence by its oldest MP, and eventually even Kurti's disservative maneuvers.
Vetevendosje currently has its opposition stance performed. It does not want to co-operate with the Serbian List, even to bring down the Haradinaj Government, thus trapped in its absurd nationalist rhetoric. It does not require new elections. She doesn't want a referendum. She does not believe in a methodical change, but like the Initiative AAK, in the knowledge and kindness of its leader, which would make the difference as if with a magic wand.
This party's MP, Adem Mikulovci, today urged Prime Minister Haradinaj to surrender the prime minister's post -- that is, resign as a moral act. More than a naive attitude, this is another performance in the long line of acting of its deputies. But ironically, although professional actor, Adem Mikulovci is currently the weakest actor of Kurti's party.
Those who want to become good actors, and who secretly like Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselin, have an address: Vetevendosje movement!
