The qualifying campaign for the world's largest tournament began with 210 seats involving 872 matches.

Where national meetings will be played

For Russia, it is the first time in hosting a World Cup in football.

The four-fold World Champion Italy and the double Dutch winner will be missing in this championship after failing in world qualifications.
