An Albanian citizen has admitted to the court at Spain's Pontevedra that he was the head of an international drug trafficking network.
Citizens identified as Africa. H from the Spanish media appeared before the tribunal at Pontevedra, along with three other people on Tuesday. The Albanian has acknowledged that the drugs were taken to Valencia, while later it was sent to a residence at Pontevedr before it was distributed.
The wife of one of the defendants has declined to have been part of this network, while another accused, who was mentioned by the Albanian citizen, has admitted to having shared the residence with the Albanian, but has denied being part of the trafficking network.
The defendants have indicated that in December 2015 they had received a 20 - pound [10 kg] of heroin in Valencia, which they had kept for a time on the floor of their residence in Sanxenxo, Pontevedra, and then distributed it to their minority customers.
They said before the court they sent to Narón in A Coruña a 3kg of heroin in exchange for a total of 91,500 euros.
According to Spanish media, they used 4 vehicles for drug trafficking, which had special places to hide drugs. Police said in a statement that the house where the banned persons lived in Sanxenxo had become a drug lab, while three other firearms and forged documents were found.
The prosecution has sought 60 years in prison for persons charged with international drug trafficking.
