The University Steering Council had issued a regulation, which later turned out to be contrary to the statute of the University “Hagi Zeka”.
According to the statute, the dean must be associate professor, while Article 18's point of regulation had determined to be only an assistant professor.
Professor Necdet Shala says they were elected on the basis of conditions defined according to the regulation the Steering Council had issued.
The chairman of the Steering Council, Haxhi Xhemajli, has not responded to KTV's calls to get answers about the release of this regulation, which has since been abolished.
Meanwhile, at the University Rectorate, they reason on the decision of the absent Council but stress that they are obliged to comply with any decision this council makes.
In the Ministry of Education, February, they have stated that decisions belong to the Steering Council and do not interfere with its work.
