Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Behgjet Pacolli has congratulated his Croatian counterpart, Marija Pejcinovic Buric, for taking over the chairmanship of the Council of Europe from Croatia, a state with which Kosovo traditionally has had close and strategic relations.
Pacolli has written on Facebook that it creates a new opportunity and favourable circumstances for continuing Kosovo's membership process at the Council of Europe.
Kosovo's “path towards the EC is in the right direction and unstoppable, as our strategic goal remains membership in the EU and NATO. The mission and values the EC advocates meet our aspirations for integration into Europe. I also thank our friendly state, Denmark, for so far having the EC chairmanship”, he wrote.
