The three goals of participating Kosovo's high-level delegation during this conference are lobbiing for further recognition of Kosovo, membership in Interpol, application for the observer country's status in OBI, aiming to advance Kosovo's international integration, broadcasts the Indexline.
Kosovo, with a delegation led by the government's number two and Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli, participate in this conference. The 57 member states are represented by dozens of foreign ministers, deputy prime ministers and high-level diplomats, along with a large number of representatives from observer states.
For these objectives, Pacolli met with his counterparts from Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Guyana, the Communist Islands, Palestine, Suriname, Maldivet, Mozambique, etc.
This year's “Conference marks the passage of this organisation's next direction from Côte d'Ivoire to Bangladesh. Its main theme is “Islamic values for lasting peace, solidarity and development”, with particular focus on the refugee drama Rochya, which have been ethnically cleared of Myanmar's territory, disseminating in neighbouring countries”, said in communique.
The work of the first session was welcomed by the prime minister of the Bangladesh People's Republic, Sheikh Hasina. To show the importance of providing relations with this part of the world and a cooperative approach to it, Canada's Foreign Minister, Mrs. Christie Freeland, who addressed this international forum with an appreciative address.
Pacolli also had a brief meeting with Canada's Foreign Minister, Kristia Freeland.
