Kosovo police investigating British Council

The British International Organisation for Cultural and Education Issues is being investigated by Kosovo Police at the request of the British Embassy in Kosovo.

That's confirmed, British Ambassador Ruairi O'Connell in an interview for Kosovo's daily show.

O'Connell showed how it came to demand these investigations.

A regular review of the British Council has revealed some misappropriations or violations of the rules. We have submitted the report to the Kosovo Police case and requested the investigation into the case. We have a practice that doesn't tolerate corruption at all in British institutions. An official has been suspended”, he said.

OʹConnell spoke about the Memorandum of Co-operation with Government and the Kosovo Assembly for earned employment in public office.
