The singers, among whom Kehlan and Hayley Kyyo, said that song lyricity is harmful and accused of exploiting bisexuality. The song, in which Cardi B, Bebe Rex and Charlie XCX appear, has been criticised by those who believe it underestimates the relationship between the same sex. The verse that sparked the controversy says: Sometimes, I just want to kiss girls, drink red wine and kiss girls...
In a tweet, the Ritta said the song represents her truth. I've had romantic relations with women and men in my life, and this is my personal trip”, she writes.
Earlier, she had told the magazine “People) that she wanted the song to be a bisexual anthem, but it had been less clear when she was asked if she herself was bisexual. If people see it this way, it's something very narrow and I don't think the song has anything to do with it. I don't even think this is important”, she said.
