In Kosovo's public administration, the largest budget is spent on deputy ministers. We want this money to be used for deep reform in education, and not only for deputy ministers' salaries, the chief of the European Union Office in Kosovo, Natalia Apostolova, said Wednesday in the presentation of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology's functional review report (MASHT), writes Koha Ditore today.
This report was drafted by Deutsche Geselschaft für International Zusammerbeit (GIZ) supported by the EU and contains some findings on the functioning of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Kosovo is the country that has 80 deputy ministers. In public administration, we spend the largest budget on deputy ministers. We want this money to be used for deep reform in education, and not just for salaries of deputy ministers”, it has stressed.
According to her, Kosovo has not moved forward in the education system. The longer delays there are, the new generations will be delayed by changes in education.
