Catalan police have cuffed a criminal group that had committed more than 30 thefts of buildings in Barcelona, including the home of football star Louis Suarez. Eight of them are Albanians, El Pais says, and were part of a group that recruited their patriots by sheltering them and in exchange wanted to steal houses. The agents fell on the track of the Albanian group since October, and are taught that they stole expensive houses away from city centres and used stolen cars, or walked for hours, waiting in the forest for the right moment, says El Pais.
According to police, the detained group is considered specialised thieves after taking advance measures and choosing carefully “cut their”.
In January of this year, they stole Barcelona football player Louis Suarez's house, entering his villa in Castlefelles, not knowing in fact that it was the footballer's home, says El Pais, stealing a valuable amount of jewelry.
