This organisation says that from interviewing those arrested, looking at police files and medical evidence and monitoring, it has noted that during the stage of the student organisation's arrest of activists “We study Critics Action”, their transport of police cars, as well as during their stay at the Police Station in Pristina, Kosovo police have used physical violence and insults as insults, insults and threats against them.
“All those arrested have complained that police have exercised physical violence and insults against them. Furthermore, their medical evidence finds numerous injuries in various parts of the body, such as spraining, scratching, etc.”, says in the QKRT response, to add that it has received claims that except one of the detainees stationed at the Lipjan Police Station, others have not been offered adequate medical treatment.
“Despite the severe pain five of those arrested do not receive any medication to treat pain”.
QKMT, acting under its mandate, views these Kosovo Police actions as completely unnecessary and absolutely unacceptable.
“As such behaviors constitute the mistreatment of arrested persons and deprived of freedom, inhuman, degrading and degrading treatment. Beyond the situation that has led to their arrest and ban, Kosovo Police's actions towards those arrested are unnecessary and as punishable in accordance with local legislation and international instruments applicable in Kosovo”, it is said in response.
The KRC invites the Kosovo Police Inspectorate to investigate these allegations of unnecessary and excessive use of force by Kosovo Police officials towards persons arrested in the case.
