The President forgave the killer, the family from Lipjan: This is the second murder for us.

Rexhepi's family in Lipjan were shocked at the president's recent decision, they had not even been aware of the forgiveness of their brother's killers. This murder occurred on October 14, 2011.

Although they disagreed with the conviction of their brother's killers seven years later, they felt shocked about President Hashim Thaci's recent amnesty decision.

Isa Mazrek, sentenced to the murder of Milazim Rexhepi, was pardoned by the president for four years in the last wave of pardons.

The brother of the deceased, who now exercises the pediatric profession in Lipjan, and his sister, were shocked at the president's recent decision, which he pardoned four years, the 68-year-old who took their brother's life.

Samedin Rexhepi, a pediater in Lipjan, said the president's decision “has killed the family in second,”.

This is the second murder in our family. I'm shocked, I don't know what to say anymore. I'm shocked, this news has deeply shocked me, I don't know what to say” anymore, he said.

His sister, who was initially unaware of such a presidential decision, expressed the same.

The president has been able to forgive people with other sentences, convictions of other natures, but not those for murder, how people who committed murder are forgiven, I don't understand this”, Samedin Rexhepi told Express, until his sister said that no one had asked or warned them about this decision.

The District Court of the day of Pec had sentenced Isa Mazrek, 68-year-old, and his two sons, Jevat and Besart Mazreku, from Malisheva, who attended the murder.

Even for Mazreku's sentence, the deceased's family said it was insufficient punishment, but despite that, now forgiveness of the convict, for the Rexhepi family is the second murder. They even believe that this process from the beginning to the present can be political.

Isa Mazrek was sentenced to prison for murder and for illegal possession of 14 years in prison. So far Mazrek has held 7 years in prison, and has yet to remain 3, following the four-year apology by President Hashim Thaci, which happened in February of this year.

Mazreku will be released on October 14, 2021.

Isa Mazrek is not the only convicted murder convicted by President Thaci. Four other prisoners serving prison sentences such as Lipjan, Smreconica, Gjilan, Prizren and the Supreme Security Prison are also part of the president's recent wave pardons.
