Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli said their main challenge is Kosovo's integration and Kosovo's membership in the UN and several other international organisations.
He added that on Kosovo's journey they face another challenge, Serbia's opposition to Kosovo's independence. Pacolli said they are now facing an unprecedented aggression from Serbia. These comments Pacolli made at the table organised by PIPS with the “Kosovo Foreign Policy theme: Priorities and Challenges”. The head of Kosovo diplomacy stressed that they must work and lobbie hard to work with states that have recognised Kosovo and strengthen relations.
Until he added that the challenge also has to be lobbied to countries that have not recognised Kosovo, as Serb lobbies are telling those countries that Kosovo is not a state and is taking too long to explain the reality created. Minister Pacolli said the challenge is to include politics in Kosovo's diplomatic service. Pacolli said that under reforms that have started in the MPJ will soon present the law for foreign service. The next challenge, Pacolli mentioned the promotions made, saying that in the last two days alone, 80 grams have become.
Pacolli also spoke of dialogue with Serbia, saying this too is another challenge. The head of Kosovo diplomacy said he is a major opponent of those who say they have nothing to talk about with Serbia.
