The six members of the Foreign Ankes Commission have heard complaints by defence lawyers of six Turkish citizens who were expelled from Kosovo a month ago.

Protectors of five college directors “Mehmet Akif” and a Turkish doctor continue to insist that their clients have been revoted residence permits in Kosovo, without legal grounds.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs, a few days after the scandal in question, had said AKI has suggested that it cancel the Kosovo residence permits of Cihan ʼzkan, Kahraman Demirez, Hasan Hüseyin Günakan, Mustafa Erdem, Osman Karakaya and Yusuf Karabina, with the reasoning that national security is at stake.

But for that decision, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has dismissed former MPB Prime Minister Flamur Sefaj and even former Prime Minister Driton Gashi.

“We have filed complaints against the decision to oust Turkish citizens. The Foreign Commission has held the hearing in which we have presented our evidence and arguments that the accepted decisions are illegal. This has not met any of the legal conditions for their departure. Even disturbing is the fact that extradition procedures concerning displaced persons and not the ordinance procedures” have been implemented in this case, attorney Urim Vokshi has told Express.

According to him, through the Commission for Foreign Anxiety is the last opportunity for Kosovo to fix the mistake it has caused by illegally handing over six Turkish citizens to Erdogan, only that they are suspected to support his rival Fetullah Gulen.

We expect the Foreign complaints Commission to approve our complaint and cancel the decision to put out”, said lawyer Vokshi.

He explains that based on administrative guidelines, if their complaint is approved, Kosovo would have to return the displaced people within the six-month term.

“Since even the heads of state institutions have acknowledged that Kosovo has failed to implement the law in this case, we strongly believe that the commission for foreign complaints will approve the complaint and reverse legitimacy in this case”, lawyer Urim Vokshi told Gazeta Express.

The deportation of six Turkish citizens, at the end of March of this year, has fired various reactions in the country. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj had acknowledged that he had not been aware of what happened, so he had also demanded that his former opposition to the MPB be released, along with the former AKI chief.

The circumstances and the decision on the expulsion of these Gylenists from Kosovo continue to be unclear, although it has also been discussed in the Kosovo Assembly and has even been required to establish a parliamentary investigative commission.
