The images are shocking, but fortunately the event has not been associated with the victims. In the accompanying video of this news, the shocking moment is recorded when a tanker crashes into a residential building along the 18th century, causing considerable damage.
The ship, which carried a maltian flag, was transporting barley from Russia to Saudi Arabia, when technical problems drove it out of the course of direction and caused the historic building crash in the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul.
The images have recorded the moment he crashed with residence “Hekimbasti Salih Efendi”, on the edge of the sea, before stopping sailing under the second Bosphorus bridge. The incident was filmed from different angles by random residents and tourists, who later published social networking images.
One of the videos shows how terrified people tried to escape from another residential building near the affected residence when they saw the ship speeding toward them.
The ship “Vitaspiri” entered the Bosphorus Strait from the Black Sea, holding about 62 tonnes of barley. Despite the horror crash, however, no victims were reported, while the Bosphorus was provisionally closed from both directions.
