Kosovo Assembly Speaker Kadri Veselini and Serbia's Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic have crashed with statements in Ljubljana, Slovenia, in case of the arrest and deportation of Marko Djuric, who was illegally introduced in Kosovo.

The Serbian Parliament Speaker used her speech in the work of the Fifth Plenar session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Southeast European Co-operation Process, where the region's top parliaments were present, to complain that Kosovo has arrested the top Serbian official.

The”Dialogue with Pristina is going on for five years now, but I have to stress that a serious incident occurred, where one of the participants of the dialout, Marko Djuriq”, said the chief governor, trying to present Djuric's case as irregular action by Kosovo institutions.

But immediate has been the reaction of Kosovo's Parliament Speaker Kadri Veselin, who said Djuric has been several times in Kosovo but, of course, obtaining permission, while according to Veselin Marko Djuric, has been expelled after entering the territory of the Republic of Kosovo illegally.

“In the case of Djuriqi, which colleagues from Serbia mentioned, we are sorry, we hope that in the future it will not happen, but Kosovo is an independent state, so the laws and institutions of the Republic of Kosovo should be respected. Mr. Djuric as Serbia's senior official has been in Kosovo several times. He is welcome in Kosovo whenever he wishes but has to respect the institutions, that is, get permission to enter Kosovo. So in the case in question he came to Kosovo illegally, failed to respect state authorities, made efforts to create crises that have been unnecessary, so he has not been arrested but expelled from the state of Kosovo”, Vessel said.
