Former Vetvendosje Movement deputy and deputy head of Kosovo's Parliament on behalf of Vetevendosje -- currently deputy of the Independent Group -- Aida Dorgi does not intend to resign from the seat of the Assembly deputy chairman from the Vetevendosje Movement.
Dorg, has resigned from all functions in Vetevendosje on December 11th of last year, until the post of vice president on behalf of this subject continues to hold it.
The head of the Vetevendosje Movement parliamentary group Glauk Konjufca in a premonition for the arena.info has announced they have sent a letter to the Kosovo Assembly, where they have even sought its dismissal, but that they have not yet received any answers.
“We have sent a letter to the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo that Aida Dorgi be dismissed from her position so that the Vetevendosje Movement can send the deputy chairman who belongs to Kosovo's 67th Constitution, because it says that the three largest parliamentary subjects are belonged to one vice president in the Parliament's Headship. That means the vice president will have The PDK, LDK and the Vetevendosje Movement are also two of the minorities”, Konjufca has said.
Konjufca, has said he has also talked to the head of the parliamentary group of independent MPs, Dardan Sejdiu, but that his response has been that Aida Dorgi will not release this position.
I've been talking, I've had a meeting with the chief of the GP Group of Independent Deputies, and they've told me they're not gonna pull Aida Drggut from the post of vice president. I don't believe that Aida Drcguti will willingly release this position because at least that's how they confirmed to me in my meetings with them that there is no will for them to release this position which, in my opinion, can actually qualify as usurped”, he stated.
According to him, the move that Aida Drcgi is making is unprecedented in the parliamentary history of the Republic of Kosovo.
In Article 67 of Kosovo's Constitutional, Article 3 says the three vice-presidents proposed by the three largest parliamentary groups are elected with the majority of votes of all Parliament deputies.
