The truck was run by a 43-year-old man from New Jersey who was heading east on Lance Avenue Street and making a straight turn on Pleasant Avenue. The boy, riding on a bicycle, was heading east on Lance Avenue Street across the sidewalk when he was hit by the truck, Kovac said.
Elios was declared dead at the scene and transported to the Office of the Bergen Medicine Executor in Paramus.
The driver who cooperated with the investigation and refused personal medical care. The investigation is continuing, however, no charges have been filed against the driver so far, but will soon become a member of the victim's family on social networks.
