The mother of two children passed away last August, after two years of suffering in the hospital as a result of burns caused by 90 percent of her body by a boyfriend who, after oiled her.

But, 9 months later, 33-year-old Judi Malinowski will testify in the trial process for her murder.

Judge Guy Reece set a precedent on this occasion when he agreed that the jury would hear the testimony that 33-year-old mother had taken from her daughter from hospital bed for two years.

“Judy fought and became strong to tell her story, and the decision to hear this story is the first step to establishing justice. He suffered much, but he again found the strength and courage to challenge the pain and clearly articulate the author of that night's horror. I'm very proud of him and I know that one day I'll see him, even though he broke my heart in this life”, Judy's mother, Bonnie Bowes, declared.

The serious event took place in June 2015 at a gas station on the outskirts of Ohio. Authorities accuse Michael Slager, then Judy's boyfriend, of having sprayed him with gasoline, setting him on fire.

Michael himself admitted to the jury that he sprayed gasoline, but he says the flames were accidental and caused the moment he tried to light Judy up a cigarette.

The defendant's lawyer also rejected the judge's decision to accept the testimony. According to him, confession was not taken in legal ways. Justice Reece rejected this claim, claiming that it was an unprecedented occasion that required an unprecedented decision.
