Vicent: Main funder of KLAHA is building hydropower plants in Montenegro

Krasniqi, whom the paper presents as one of the founders and leading sponsors of the Kosovo Liberation Army, is owner of the “Plava Hydro Power” company from Ulcinj, which has handed over the erections for the construction of two small hydropower plants in Djuric.

As the Express broadcasts, the company's headquarters “Plava Hydro Power” is at the Hotel “Balshare Tower in Ulcinj. One percent is owned by firm “Gradnja” from Bellopija (Bijelo Polje) while 99 per cent owns Krasniqi's firm “Triangle General contractors INC” from Decani.

This Krasniqi firm is co-owner with one per cent of the company “Hydro Bistrica”, which also deals with the construction of small hydropower plants in northern Montenegro. The dominant owner of this firm is Synergy Company, in which, through its firm KIA Montenegro, Vuk Rajkoviqi, Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic's co-worker and partner at the Global Montenegro company.

Residents around the Djuric River at the Plava of Djuric, Jasenica and Hoti oppose the construction of these plants, while 651 people have signed their petition. Those years from the Plav municipality Convention demanded that they do not vote for local research on the construction of these small hydropower plants because they believe they will risk the flow from which they are supplied with drinking water.

But, the majority municipal Assembly approved the decision under which the procedure for obtaining permission is under way, following what opponents of construction formed the initiative council with Albanian Alternative Adviser Iber Hotin at the helm.
