Valdet Zeqiray, 27, who was suffering from cancer, has passed away during the early hours of this morning. He had recently gone to Turkey to seek cure for the disease he was suffering from now and then, because his illness was not healing in Kosovo. His family days ago through a public post has asked citizens to help the 27-year-old with financial means of recovery.
According to Valdet's family, the Health Ministry had allocated $23,000 for treating the disease. But these weren't enough. That's because he needed at least 130 thousand euros to continue his recovery.
News of the young man's death confirmed by a relative.
Deeply in pain, we received the bitter news that our family together family member Valdet Halil Zeqiray has passed away. We members of Valdet thank all those friends, friends and fellow Albanians for their goodwill and readiness of steel, to help rescue 27-year-old Valdet who was fighting against evil illness”, it is said at the announcement of Africa Zeqiri, family member of Valdet Zeciw.
And recovery in Kosovo is not being found by hundreds of other patients, such as the case of the already felt Valdet. They're looking for European countries to find their own medicine.
Lack of drugs, equipment for treating various diseases and distrust in public health institutions are just some of the reasons Kosovo citizens are forced to take the road to European states to find their own medicine.
