Slovenia backs Kosovo business initiatives towards EU

Sahin said Slovenia continues to remain one of the friendly, investment and development states in Kosovo. According to him, this meeting is taking place within the framework of increased co-operation between the two countries in an economic context.
The head of the GDP briefed the ambassador also on the European Commission's project to support and enhance Kosovo-Macedonia cross-border trade co-operation, inviting Slovenian experts to implement and support this project.
The Slovenian “Embassy continues to support Kosovo's business initiatives towards the European Union”, the head of GDP said.
On the other hand, Boris Bertonieciel, Slovenia's ambassador to Kosovo, said co-operation between the two countries continues to strengthen even more, and that Slovenian exports to Kosovo are also good.
The ambassador's aim remains to have regular meetings with the business community in order to increase investments in all regions.
The Slovenian “Embassy will continue supporting initiatives like this of supporting the expansion of Kosovo-Macedonia cross-border trade co-operation, such projects we do with neighbouring states and which are of great importance to”, the Slovenian ambassador said.
According to him, more investments should be realised in the two states so that there will be stronger economic growth, employment and increased exports and imports.
