Saranda Bogujevci, one of the survivors of Serb forces' atrocities during the war in Kosovo, will talk about her tragic experience, before the audience in Belgrade.

Tonight, on the 19th anniversary of the murder of members of the Bogujevci family by troops “Serbia's Scorpions”, Saranda Bogujevci and Ceatin Bogujevci, will speak in Belgrade on a panel dedicated to these atrocities.

Saranda has not stopped seeking the truth of the crime that occurred in Kosovo. Justice is always late, but Saranda has always had the determination to search for truth. On this panel she wants to talk about her childhood and her family members.

Seven and seven children were killed in the tragic event in Podujevo, while Saranda and several other members have survived.

Severely injured, five children were then saved, while three of them already grown up and turned into artists have rebuilt it through photos and films of personal tragedy.
The panel begins tonight from 7:00 p.m. at the Belgrade Centre for Cultural Decontamination, organised by the Humanitarian Law Fund.

Some of “Scorpions” that committed the crime have been convicted in Serbia, writes KultPlus. Sasha Cvjetan, member of “Scorpions” was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2005 by the Serbian War Crimes Court. In 2009 three “were also sentenced Scorpions: Dragan Borojevic and Dragan Medic were sentenced to 20 years in prison, while Miodrag Sholaja was sentenced to 15. 20 years in prison were also given to Zelko Djukiq in 2010.

Saranda, Jehona and Fatosi, remember that their family was attacked by 15-16 uniformed persons.

On March 28, 1999, the day Duric's Boguyevs were killed, the aviation of NATO had entered on the fourth day of the bombing of the former Yugoslav Federal Republic, precisely because of the violence, murder and deportation of Albanians.
