Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has published the results of the Workers Power Survey (AFP) for the fourth quarter of 2017.
Through a communique sent to the media, it becomes known that in this quarter, the unemployment rate is 30.6%. The highest employment is on men (46.8%), while hiring female employment is less than 12.5%.
According to results released from this publication, two-thirds of the population in Kosovo are at a working age. Work age populations include 15-64 years of age.
Within the working age population, the rate of participation in the workforce is 42.9%.
The employment rate at the Workers Power Survey (AFP), for the fourth quarter (TM4) 2017, is 29..8%.
The highest employment is on men (46.8%), while female employment is 12.5%.
“Women are employed, mainly in the education, health care and trade sectors, with 48.5 %s, while males are mainly employed in the construction, trade and production sectors, with 45.2%. Economic sectors, leading by employment, continue to be: trade by 15.1%; construction by 13.1%; production by 12.1%; and education by 10.1%. While other sectors participate with a smaller percentage in employment”, it is further known in this ASS report.
As for employees with contracts, it turns out that 29.3% of employed persons have permanent contracts in their main work, while 70.7% have temporary contracts.
According to AFP results, at TM4 2017, the unemployment rate is 30.6%.
The most severe unemployment is in women by 37.1 %, compared to men, 28.7%. The most pronounced unemployment rate is in the 15-24-year-old group at 55.9%.
The poll has expanded to 598 recording circuits across the country's entire territory, where 3 616 family economies, selected according to the case method from the period of population registration, Family Economics and Banses 2011.
The family economies, selected for surveying, except that they had one survey, also had three renegotiations according to the reference period.
