A traditional celebration of Sultan Navruz's holiday, known as Hz's birthday, was held in Prizren's Rufai Square today. Aliut.
Adri Huseyin Shehu, who is the driver of Rufai Tribe, said that even this year, just as they celebrate Sultan Navruz' day every year, congratulating a good year, with hair and happiness. He also wished this year to bring free movement to Kosovo citizens.
Dozens of Bektashian believers began this ritual with the characteristic rotations of the holiday, where prayer calls for prosperity and peace. Mevlud was also read during this ceremony.
Sultan Navruz of the Persian language means New Day and is the traditional Iranian festival, considered the first day of the year and is known as the holiday marking the spring day. The Navruz festival is also celebrated in other parts of the world.
This ceremony is held annually in Prizren, south of Kosovo. The Bektas form a small part of Kosovo's population.
