Japan immediately accepted the request of Minister Pacolli -- that the visas for Kosovars, who want to travel to Japan -- be provided near the Embassy of this country in Tirana -- are made known through a media communique.

“This is a considerable relief for Kosovo citizens, given that so far, visas to be given at Japan's Embassy in Vienna. During yesterday's meeting, the Japanese side promised it would take into account Kosovo's chief of diplomacy's request for visa-free regimes, if the European Union would lift visas for Kosovars in the near future”, Koha.net reportedly broadcasts.

Meanwhile, the second day of Kosovo's foreign minister's visit, accompanied by Economy Development Minister Valdrin Luka in Tokyo, focused economic co-operation with Japan, one of the world's three most developed economic countries and key world-wide donors.

“So the two ministers had meetings with the leading leaders of JICA, (The Japanese Agency of International Co-operation), and JBIC (The Japanese Bank of International Co-operation), with Kazuhiko Kostunica and Tadashi Maeda, State Minister for Finance Kenichi Weno, respectively, with Minister in charge of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralymetic Gases Suzuki Suzuki”, said in communique.

During these meetings, mPacolli invited Japanese investors to come to Kosovo in the country of great opportunities and facilities for entrepreneurs, near the 500m European market.

You've been through the hardest times helping us. Today we want Japanese companies in Kosovo to produce their goods, in co-operation with Kosovars”, Pacolli said.

He reiterated the Kosovo government's readiness to establish a free economic zone available to Japanese entrepreneurs. The foreign minister called for assistance from Japanese aid agencies and the main Bank of International Co-operation, assistance in establishing agrarian platforms, quality professional schools, etc.

His Japanese negotiators promised a new level of co-operation with Kosovo and that they would work in the suggested directions. Also during the morning, at the Meij Centre facilities before an environment of Kosovo-interested entrepreneurs, Minister Luka presented legal, financial, and other opportunities and answered their questions.

At noon, in the presence of Japan's top authorities, Kosovo guests in the institutions of this country, Deputy Foreign Minister Mori, over 20 ambassadors from different countries and who do not recognise Kosovo, a reception was organised on the occasion of the country's 10th anniversary of independence.
