Despite optimistic warnings throughout the weekend, “The co-ordination of consensus” has failed to secure the votes needed to ratify the demarcation agreement with Montenegro on the day a senior European Union delegation visited Kosovo, Koha Ditore writes today.
Parties that expressed themselves for ratification ( PDK- AAK-Nisma - The AKR from the government and the LDK from the opposition has not garnered more than 78 MPs' votes, making Wednesday an unattainable 80 votes, as long as the international agreement is approved in the Assembly.
On Wednesday, even though the session was launched, the only action has been changes to the bill by the parliamentary Commission for Foreign Affairs. The debate has been missing, as the session was interrupted to stop, without giving any official reasons.
Sources close to one ruling coalition party have told the paper that the session has been postponed due to lack of votes and at the request of the Serbian List.
