A villa, which inspired Walter Scott to write “The Lady of Lake”, has been put on sale for $2.1m and is associated with the personal “ishulin”.

Gartochraggan, originally a farm home but with additions and renovations, is located on the shores of Loch Lomond, Scotland, and offers magnificent views of the lake and surrounding hills.

Placed only north of Gartochran village, the seven-bedroom house also comes with its private beach.

In the 1800s, Gartochraggan was reportedly visited by Sir Walter Scott and inspired his famous poem.
