Prior to the holiday, a debate has been sparked over the deployment of the Kosovo state flag at the “Circle” location, where it so far waved the national red and black flag.
As a result of pressure on a social network initiative, government officials were put in effect to deploy the state flag to this location, despite numerous objections.
The decision came from the State Protocol, operating within the Foreign Ministry, and received the support of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Periscopi writes.
However, the application of the decision was made in secret. The removal of the red and black flag for the location of the yellow and blue flag took place last night at the time of night over the capital. However, some citizens were there to react.
