The Pristina- Belgrade dialogue, launched in 2011 for normalising relations between the two countries, has so far not achieved such a result.
Moreover, this dialogue has helped Serbia advance the path towards membership in the European Union, specifying that by 2025 it could be part of the latter. While Kosovo has left it without a clear deadline for potential EU membership, the newspaper “Voice” writes today.
Until Tuesday, Serbia has clear the potential deadline for membership in the European Union (BE), which is 2025, Kosovo with the EU Enlargement Strategy, has not been set any clear calendar deadline for potential membership.
Great importance for Serbia's advancement on the road to membership in this union is estimated to have Brussels' dialogue.
But despite numerous Kosovo side compromises, our state has not benefited from dialogue in the integration process
Prime Minister Haradinaj's office has declined to comment on the current performance of Brussels' dialogue, but according to this Office dialogue should be structured and long-term.
“Dialog is the only option for achieving normalisation of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia. Kosovo has shown constructiveity and readiness for dialogue. Nevertheless, dialogue must be structured and timed and should be concluded with mutual recognition between the two states. Dialogue cannot extend to unlimited and the European road to any Western Balkan state, including Kosovo, should be clear and with equal treatment”, the prime minister's Office's response said.
