The index is drawn up on the basis of a complex methodology, which takes into account more than 50 different factors. In particular is seen in this study: the number of army tanks, ships, planes and other military equipment, the level of funding of the military sphere, the country's transport infrastructure, access to oil products, and other factors that may affect military combat capacity. It should be noted that the Index does not include nuclear weapons.
The index is drawn up by Global Fire Power, known for statistical publications in the field of the army, logistics, natural and financial resources, etc. Countries with the world's most powerful armies include the United States, Russia, China, India, Great Britain, France, Italy, South Korea, Germany, Brazil, Japan, Turkey. In the last places by the order: Butan, Suriname, Sierra Leone, Mauritania, Central Republic of Africa, Somalia, and so on.
