Minister of Education criticised colleges, told him he could be fired, changed words
He has talked many times about private colleges in Kosovo.
The education minister has often come under criticism for the quality that private higher education carriers offer.
Shyqitti Bytyqi seems to have changed the words for the quality of private colleges in Kosovo and has started praising them and engaged to offer more quality, reports T7.
The reason the minister changed appears to be a warning for his own party's dismissal months earlier.
That there was word for dismissal and so does Minister Bytyqi, even though he says they did not officially ask for it.
Whatever the reason why the minister changed his mind about the quality of private colleges, he says he is working on reforming them.
The reforms that Minister Bytyqi says to have done are not being observed by VV deputy and Education Commission member Arberie Nagavci.
Meanwhile, Youth Qehaja from the Edgood Institute estimates that in some of the private colleges as a result of competition, the quality of studies has been raised.
But Qehaja says the problem is the failure to control the Ministry of Education and the Kosovo Agency for Accreditation.
In Kosovo there are 30 institutions of higher education accredited by the Agency of Adrecation, and over 20 are private colleges.
