The country's prime minister, Ramush Haradinaj, after the government's meeting, has said President Hashim Thaci has not rejected the tax on Serbian products, as well as commented on Agim Bahtiri's idea of uniting Mitrovica.
Haradinaj has stated he has not taken any negative stance from the country's president, Hashim Thaci, regarding the 100 per cent tax settlement. Haradinaj has also added that the government is authorised to make a decision.
This decision is legal and is in line with the constitutional legal authorisations the Government has. We are authorised by institutions like the president, the mandate in the Assembly, and the decision made is the competence of the government, we have not made unconstitutional action. I didn't see any opposition from the president, at least we didn't get a letter saying it was against. You know we've been in consultation with the government partners on this topic”, Haradinaj has said.
In addition, Haradinaj has been declared for the Southern Mitrovica Chairman Agim Bahtiri's request for the north and south union in a single Mitrovica.
Each municipality, so for example, Decani has no authorisations to make decisions for Junic, so municipalities are horizontal, neither the Yunik for Decanin. It's the decision given only to one authority, so Bahtiri and South Mitrovica have no decision-making power for any other municipality, whatever. It's their goodwill and a demand that flows to institutions so it depends on what's done with it. So we have multiple demands, but not all of them get results from”, the first of the Government added.
