The United States of America's representative, during today's meeting of the United Nations Organization Security Council, has reiterated the American stance and support for transforming KSF's mandate into armed forces and military mandate.
He has said that this transformation, which will last for 10 years, is in full birth with Resolution 1244, countering the Serbian president, who claimed it was violated.
Resolution 1244 according to the US refers to deilitarisation of the KLA, and armed Albanian groups.
“The KSF is not an armed group of Albanians from Kosovo, but a professional and multi-ethnic force which guarantees security”, he has said.
The US has also stressed the need to continue dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and the focus of parties on normalising relations./ Periscope
