The report that in Kosovo oil is selling 30 cents more than in the countries of the region has prompted the response of the Oil Association, who say Kosovo is the second country in neighbouring states at the lowest price of oil.
They assured that there is no price raise agreement and invited the Competition Authority to investigate.
The chairman of this association, Fadil Berjan, at a media conference said that oil in Kosovo is cheaper and that all reports that in Kosovo the price of oil is 30 cents higher than the countries of the region are untrue.
Berjan also announced the meeting that they have held today with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, with which he said that in addition to the price of oil, they have also discussed their demands for the regulator and keyage in the streets.
This, which was launched into the media that 30 cents is more expensive, this is an information for you to correct to see what prices are like in the region and in Kosovo. It means we're the cheapest in the region, except for Macedonia, because it has 26 cents. There's 36 cents in the dysel excise, and of gasoline 38... these concerns spread out to the prime minister, we understand, we've announced what prices come in the region as well, this is open and liberal market. We at the prime minister had some requests I mentioned to the media. One of the requirements has been the regulator, especially he asked full responsibility for the oil law why it has not passed so far. I promise I'll pass as soon as possible. We had and the other demand was the key on the street that the only state we paid for expensive energy locks”, he said.
And Latif Kryeziu, of Al-Perol-Shell, assured all citizens that there is no agreement between oil price hikes businesses.
He even said the profit is very difficult because of fierce competition, since in Kosovo there are already about 1,000 oil derivatives.
I'm telling you that the factors that affect and take it for elements on price formation are over fifteen, is not just the price of supply or stock. He's one, we in Kosovo have the excise, we've always limited it, 36 cents is for oil, 38 is for gasoline, that's a high excise compared to if you take Macedonia for example, but if we take other states we're a little cheaper. As for the prices, close to 1,000 points Kosovo has with free oil derivatives I can say that we come to the price limit because it's a very big competition... never having a deal, from here we invite the authority of competition to investigate day and night as far as it's concerned with the price issue if the agreement, which is guarantee you that here where we're never had or there's no after”, said, Kryziu.
As for lowering prices at several points, Kryeziu considers them isolated, saying they have done so for certain personal reasons because of the payments they have.
During yesterday's day, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj called on oilers to respect the market price, while urging the Competition Authority to investigate the issue
