The KSF Civil Protection Research Training Center, in Pomozotti, is made by helicopter, which will be used for search-saving training.
The strip cuts have made Civil Protection Regiment Commander Colonel Shaip Haziri and QTKH director John Doone.
The helicopter's frame will be used in various scenarios for development of several training; including a helicopter accident with victims inside it, an upsurge within, a helicopter landing victims in it; and a medical team ready to provide emergency assistance, reports “New age”
Many scenarios have already been tested during various search-saving training, while during 2019 they will begin training, in particular, in connection with helicopters.
The particular part of this helicopter is that the whole system was built by the staff of the Research Training Center itself- Rescues and recycling materials found inside the camp have been used.
The helicopter's length is 23m long, 3m wide, and about 3m high. Its total weight is about 12 tons. It's painted with camouflage color, with Red Cross emblems on both sides and with the size and appearance of a real helicopter.
Inside, there are two pilot seats, six seats full of passenger equipment, and six victims' beds. For training purposes, the central part of the helicopter can be set on fire and the helicopter structure will still remain intact.
All the planned work was carried out by staff and supported by RMC, during QT training, evening or even weekends. Construction time was four weeks ahead. The material cost of the entire project was $105.00.
The QT of RMC now offers a training facility that no other local and international training institution in Kosovo can offer. The QT will also provide additional training opportunities in co-operation with regional and international partners.
