Istog homicide details: The slain killer had held 17 years in prison, and others involved

The thief in Istog had returned from Germany three years earlier, where he had served a sentence of 17 years in prison.

The prosecutor of the case, Sahid Gashi, has said the handover is from the village of Istog, and is suspected of having criminal backgrounds in Germany.

Basic Prosecutor's spokesman in Pec, Shkodran Nikci, has provided details of the event that took place today in Istog, where one person and a Kosovo Police official were left dead.

“According to the caretaker prosecutor, who is at the scene, allegedly the target of the robbery was a bank in the centre of Istog. A police official has encountered one of the robbers, where suspect K.M. has fired weapons at the police officer I.D., where the police official passed away”, Nikci said.

He has added that the robber during the shootout exchange with other police officials has died as a result of gunfire by other police officials who have fired self-defense.

“In this case of the robbery, there are allegedly other persons involved who are currently looking at”, Nikci said.
